Friday is brim full of breaking NFL news. Free agent quarterback Colin Kaepernick recently filed a collusion grievance against the NFL owners, and now we’re got some details.

ESPN’s Adam Schefter says that certain NFL team owners, including Jerry Jones, Bob McNair and Robert Kraft, will be asked to surrender their cell phone records and emails as it pertains to Kaepernick’s collusion case.

Kaepernick has claimed that the NFL owners have colluded against him to keep him from playing in the league.

The free agent quarterback has been unemployed ever since he opted out of his contract with the San Francisco 49ers in March. Kaepernick made headlines when he protested during the National Anthem last preseason.

Up until now, there has been only circumstantial evidence that the NFL owners may have colluded against Kap. But, with this latest report from Schefter, Kaepernick’s case has now taken a very sudden turn.

To say the least, things could start getting interesting once the investigation into the owners’ personal records begins taking place.
